One gray 20' container is joined by the red 40' by the old berry shed, and the green 40' over by the old cabin. This will make a nice home place among the walnuts. Better work up a catch system before they start raining down. But a steel box is a strong geodesic object! More to come on the project as summer gets hotter and the days get longer. The compound is looking good!

It's the end of summer, and Baby Bears Farm is coming to life! Early August brought elderberry picking and here at month's end, pawpaws are falling from the treetops!
We attended a two-day long workshop organized by River Hills Harvest in Missouri for elderberry growers. We met a lot of great people from Canada, Washington, Florida, and all across the midwest. Hippocrates, known as the father of modern medicine, called elderberry "Nature's medicine chest for the common man," and now American elderberry is becoming recognized as a viable crop adaptable to many regions throughout the U.S. and Canada.
